Among the Heroes we will honour ...
Amit Bar'el had been a systems administrator when he was called to the reserves to join his comrades during the Second Lebanon War. Amit was struck by an anti-tank missile, was severely wounded in the head and lost his eyesight. His greatest regret is that he will no longer be able to see his two beautiful daughters.
Guy Prais was on a routine patrol mission in the West bank in 2002 when terrorists attacked
and exploded the vehicle in which he was traveling. He lost his legs in the ambush at 21 years of age. Today, Guy is walking, sailing, swimming and skiing — a true inspiration to us all.
Anna Krakovich was at the Afula central bus station when a terrorist blew himself up, killing many and wounding dozens. She has traveled a long and difficult road in her new life, struggling with 80% burns on most of her body. Anna's positive outlook and her young daughter inspire her to walk proudly with her head held high.
